Transgender Tales

by Diane Woods

Back in the day, I wrote a number of TG themed novels for specialty publishers. Some folks seemed to like them.

So since early 2021, I’ve been creating new TG novels, published on Amazon for the Kindle.

My first new ebook on Amazon, published in 2021,was Becoming Eleanor: A Transgender Tale.

It’s a full length novel, with a lot of illustrations, too. A real world story of transgender teens set in the early days of the pandemic, it remains one of my more popular books.

Since then, I’ve published ten more full length TG illustrated novels on Amazon, and some serialized stories on Amazon Vella.

My very latest ebook on Amazon is Shadowland: A Transgender Tale. This is my second novel about trans private eye Patsy Conroy.

I’m also currently publishing a second episodic novel about teenage trans witch, Shenandoah, on Kindle Vella, called Transfiguration 2: Blood Magic.

My first detective book featuring Patsy Conroy is Goethe Street: A Transgender Tale.

And my first ebook on Amazon about my trans witch is Transfiguration: A Transgender Tale. It’s a sort of Harry Potter-ish story of an American trans teen witch in training. It’s full of magic and monsters, witchcraft and wonder.

My other 2022 book is a trans superhero novel called Pelagia: A Transgender Tale.

My books aren’t your typical TG fiction, though. I mean, even my slice of life stories are a bit more realistic than a lot of TG published stuff, or so I strive, at any rate. But I’ve also done some TG stuff that covers other genres as well.

My second book published on Amazon, for example, Devil’s Due: A Transgender Tale, was a sort of Weird Science type horror story that incorporated elements from HP Lovecraft and Robert W. Chambers (creator of The King in Yellow).

I call it one of my Twilight Zone books, because to me it feels like an episode of that classic series. Only with a TG protagonist.

My next book on Amazon was also a Twilight Zone style story, albeit more of a sci-fi story: Solstice: A Transgender Tale.

As dream come true, waking up in the body of a female version of yourself. Until it’s more of a nightmare.

Jake Miller was a young man on the outside who was Denise on the inside. Then one morning, on the summer solstice, it was not Jake who awoke in his bed, but Denise.

There was no Jake Miller, only Denise Miller. And according to everyone, there had never been a Jake Miller—only Denise. And then things started to get weird. And dangerous.

And then there are my more down to earth T-Tales. Like:

My Secret Self.

No sci-fi elements, no horror, just a real world tale of teenage transition.

The ebook is Book One in this tale, and additional chapters, or episodes, continue to be posted on Amazon Vella.

But I actually completed a different Transgender Tale first: Influence: A Transgender Tale is on Vella but also compiled as a Kindle ebook, complete with illustrations.

Influence is a down to earth coming of age T-Tale about someone from the Little Village neighborhood of Chicago. Teresa has no memory of being anyone other than a girl but she knows she has a secret she must guard from the world: she wasn’t really born a girl.

Check it out if you love this sort of fiction.

Also on Vella is the episodic T-Tale: Short Stuff. This one is more frankly erotic, a sort of Fifty Shades of Trans, if you will. I just posted a new episode for your reading pleasure.

And now Short Stuff: A Transgender Tale is available on the Amazon Kindle as a complete illustrated ebook. Enjoy!

Night Festival: A Transgender Tale, was published on Amazon on the fall of 2021, after having appeared as a serialized story on Vella.

And

And also on Vella, Pelagia: A Transgender Tale was also serialized, before being published as an ebook on Amazon.

I also have newer chapters of My Secret Self on Vella, and a new work in progress: Transfiguration.

And I now have a Patreon page, where I document my life with archived photos and autobiographical written material.
